SELLOUT CONCERTS: TODD MOSBY SAINT LOUIS - OXFORD, MISS
On October 24 I gave a premiere concert performance to a sell out audience at The World Chess Hall Of Fame in Saint Louis, MO. I featured new works and rearranged music from my most recent catalogue for acoustic guitar, cello (Bjorn Ranheim) and tabla (Pratha). This was old school salon style. Think Romantic to Impressionistic Euro period and you get the picture, intimate small warm beautiful acoustics.
The audience was a rather sophisticated group of high end music connoisseurs who said “we were engaged with wonder and awe from the first tune to the last”. Afterwards we were treated to one of the finest private dinners I had ever experienced in Saint Louis.
The following week found me in Oxford, Mississippi for a live sellout radio broadcast on Haloween night. This was for Mississippi public radio to a live audience in the style of Garrison Keelor’s Prairie Home Companion. The musicians were amazing as we performed music from my new CD Open Waters. Those guys really knew how to churn it up and get down on the music.
